Petting Zoo 1977My family and I visited Fantasy Farm several times in the late seventies, making the trip over from Indianapolis. After seeing Disney World, Busch Gardens, and Cedar Point today, it is amazing what fond memories we have of Fantasy Farm. I was saddened to see that it had closed. Unfortunately I only have a couple of photos to go with those memories. Personally, I remember the roller coaster, which as I recall, was more like a Mad Mouse. I believe the picnic area was very nearby (almost under) one end of the ride. My daughter, who was about three at the time, still remembers the flying elephants. She's still upset about another girl cutting into the line in front of her. I have not read all of the memories yet, but I have not seen anything about the big white whale. So, attached is a picture of my children playing in the mouth. I don't remember what else was inside the mouth (if anything), maybe fish food machines. The other photo is of my son feeding the goats in the petting zoo. You can also see in the picture my daughter putting coins in the snack machine. The petting zoo was located next to (or attached to) the Big Red Barn.
