Memories of Fantasy Farm

I went to Fantasy Farm allot when I was a kid. I watched the Park change many times over. My Mother would work very hard to gather us up in her old blue 1962 Dodge Valiant, with no air conditioning, and drive us to Fantasy Farm. As we were driving, trash would fly around in the car and my diaper clad brothers blond curls would blow in the wind as he stood on the seat next to mom sucking his bottle.

Mom always had a coupon to get us all in cheaper and we would always pack sandwiches and pop rather than eat the Parks food because it cost too much. She always made sure we where there when it open and we couldn't leave till it closed. My mom would run us from ride to ride so to be sure we got our moneys worth. And shame on anyone that would be tempted to butt line in front of us; Mom would run over and settle that.
Many rides came and went but some where there from start to finish. When you first walked in, there where little boats that went around circles made for really little children. There was some railroad tracks with little pump cars you had to pump to make them go .A red bullet ride, a real small roller coaster, and a small Ferris Wheel where the parks big attractions. There was a sandbox next to the restrooms that was really big and everyday they buried coins in it for the kids to dig and find. If you found the mystery coin (which is probably still there) you won a really big prize. There was cars that you drove yourself (wonder how many of us learned the basics of driving there). Those cars had the longest line; always. Across from there was a petting zoo with mostly baby farm animals. A giant slide in the Big Barn, and if you where lucky you could watch them milk a cow. At the back of the park was a gift shop and a tree house slide. The park came and went but the memories of my mom taking me to Fantasy Farm will live with me forever.

When I Was around ten or so, my mother rented the Three Bears House and threw a big birthday party for me. It was great. There was lots of children and a real big cake. Well, I ate way too much cake and had to go back behind the Three Bears House and throw-up.(Please don't tell my mom). After that I went back for seconds! Yum Yum.
