Hey guys & gals, my name is Debbie Morris and our family lived on Dazey Drive (named after Don Dazey) starting in 1960. My father was Glenn Morris (also know as "Dago"). Our family spent a many days at both the parks. Back then if you lived in the neighborhood you got free passes to get in. Wow! My sister and I had a great life living there. Our parents took us so much that we thought it was ours. I mean how cool to have an amusement park in your own back yard! The fireworks were great too. Edger and Nellie were the nicest people in the world. They really loved kids. I have so many loving memories of that place. I was there most of the time for the auction. I got quite a few things that I hold dear to my childhood of that era. I remember crying most of the time, I hated to see it go. There are still ways I used to go in to just walk around and remember and listen to what used to be. That place was my play ground. I never got to work there but I sure had a blast running in that park. . As I got older the lake dances were going on, and me and my dad would cruise over there to see and hear the bands. I do remember always thanking Mr. Streifthau every time I saw him for building such a wonderful place.  Unfortunately, I saw Chris the same day he was killed. Some of us kids in the neighborhood was curious about that big hole and what was it going to be. I was told by my dad not to go near that hole so I took a peak and ran home scared to death! The next day at school we were told about Chris. He was fun to play with. I will never forget him. I could talk for hours about those amusement parks so I better go look once again at that park. Thanks for letting me share my memories.  Debbie Morris
