I just came across your website and have
been enjoying the memories of Fantasy Farm. We usually made
several trips a year there during the mid 60's. I remember
collecting these confederate bills on visits to the park. It was a
promotion to increase business at Edgar's auctions. He was always
alert on ways to increase cash flow. We never actually attended
any of the auctions. I will never forget those bills. The
paper they were printed on was very stiff and crinkly and had a very
distinctive odor when they were new. As elementary age kids just
learning about the Civil War, we found them fascinating and used them
for play money. If I come across any from our old stash, I'll be
